Condition: The calyx of the Chinese lantern plant used as the girl’s hair shows cracks and minor losses, and in some areas it has detached from the head. One twig is broken and the head that was formerly attached to that section is missing; the detached element is currently retained by us. Additional breaks to the twigs and surface cracking are also present. According to the gallery representing the artist, restoration by the artist is possible; however, the cost of such restoration will be borne by the successful bidder.
Due to the structure of the work and the nature of its materials, there is a risk of damage during transportation. We strongly recommend collection in person at our Ariake office. Please note that any damage incurred during transportation may require the successful bidder to bear the cost of restoration. We kindly ask for your understanding before placing a bid.
